Somber

July 29, 2005 by Jeff Hester 4 Comments

Barbara over at UniqueExposures turned me on to a site called Photo Friday. Each week there is a new challenge, and you simply post a link to your photo that reflects the current theme. This week’s challenge is somber.

On a related note… are all blogs vanity?

I actually just posted a blog about this the other day. I can’t stand blogs (and there’s a few I check occasionally) that do nothing but talk about what their day was like. “And then I got out of bed… and then I made eggs… and then i did this and yada yada yada.” No one is really interested in hearing the minute details of someone else’s life, at least not down to the nitty-gritty details. We don’t need a play-by-play. The most interesting blogs are the ones that don’t talk about their daily routines and personal lives all the time, but talk about issues, ideas, thoughts, etc. The occasional post about your daily life is fine, but if that’s all the site is, it’s a waste of webspace.

I agree with Tigerblade about how blogs that talk about issues, ideas, and thoughts. I really enjoy to see what other people’s thoughts on something are. That’s how I try to make my blog, talking about issues(ok not so much this), ideas, and thoughts.
