As you know, I’ve been a big fan of the Flickr free photo sharing site for some time now. Unlike the typical photo-sharing sites, Flickr introduces some interesting concepts, including RSS feeds, a network of friends and family, member groups, and best of all, an innovative tagging system.
One of the groups I’ve told you about before is the Squared Circle group, which contains square images of circular subjects.
Now there’s another group that’s caught my interest, and I thought some of you might want to join in the experiment. This group is called a Day In the Life of, and it exists with the goal of capturing one such day from the perspective of its over 1,100 members. That day is March 21st, the vernal equinox.
On that day, members will be documenting an entire day of their life in photos. Each member selects five photos that best reflect their day, and all of these photos will be incorporated in a DILO poster. It’s another great experiment in collaborative art.
If this sounds interesting to you, it’s not too late to join the DILO group… it’s free, and promises to be good fun.
