A few years ago I noticed Tsunami evacuation route signs around town. There has never been a serious tsunami here in Southern California, at least not since I’ve lived here. The risk is that this lulls you into a false sense of security. Although you know it is possible, you feel as though it is something that only happens somewhere else.
Yesterday, thousands of people in Japan discovered the harsh reality that somewhere else, in this case, was home.
Remember and support the relief efforts, and use the opportunity to consider what Black Swan might be awaiting you.
