Is there anything more pitiful than a dog on anti-depressants?
Our black lab, Belle, has an anxiety problem. She hears the slightest sound outside and hides under the table, quivering in fear. We give her love, attention and reassurance, but she still panics. Finally, my wife took her to the vet today, and he put the dog on anti-depressants.
What’s next? A dog whisperer?
I really hope your dog does better. Thats very sad.:( The dogs I’ve had haven’t really had to good of luck. My last dog had stomach cancer. She was the sweetest dog ever. She was nice, housebroken, loving, and an overall good dog. My current dog can’t hold itself back. Whenever someone walks by the house he runs up to the window and starts barking. And whenever I have someone over he tries to sit but he goes and jumps and jumps and jumps. It is really bad. He used to be fine, but now…Again I hope you dog gets better.

Just thought it was funny you mentioned a “dog whisperer” as in fact, there already is one. Its a show on the Nation Geographic Channel named “The Dog Whisperer” about some dog trainer named Cesar Millan. Haha…

Has the medication helped? Not yet. I’m told it can take a few weeks before it really kicks in. Argh.
